AVES Explore the Concept of Change in New Album ‘Transformations’

An immersive, cathartic offering, ‘Transformations’ is not just an album, it’s a holistic slice of artistic glory, an elegant and dreamy descent into a deeper consciousness. Bathed in ethereal Scandi pop tones and psych, liquid indie matter, the record is an absolute gem, a sonic experience which needs to be absorbed slowly and through an open heart.

Penned by Finnish trio AVES, ‘Transformations’ includes a healthy roster of illustrious guests, spanning from Icelandic songstress JFDR to Danish creative Lydmor, passing through solitary explorer Lake Jons. It is a surprising depth of field that packs the album with gravitas and charisma, helping to highlight the meaningful and philosophical lyricism in it. Focusing on the unstoppable flow of change in our lives, AVES reiterate how one must be open to transformation, wherever it might take us.

As they explain: “As the album was a long time in the making, all members have experienced considerable personal change. Some have gone through a mental healing process, others have battled addictions, and some have been dealing with the aftermath of significant disclosures.”
