Arkansas Storytellers Project 1268 Returns with Feel-Good Anthem ‘Do Ya Wanna’

As a music blog, we feel compelled to share with you the uplifting and wonderful new single from Project 1268, aptly titled ‘Do Ya Wanna’. The track is a hypnotising feel-good anthem, bringing a spark of happiness into a complicated and painful reality. It is also the first release from the group’s second album. Not only does the single sharpen the band’s unique sonic formula – combining soulful pop with folk-style songwriting – but it also features talented musicians from the wider Northwest Arkansas area.

Made of long-time friends Craig Brown and Haley Webster, Project 1268 is a duo sculpted by the flow of time. Two high school pals from Oklahoma reunited in Fayetteville, Arkansas and started recording music together in 2020. The result of this collaboration is a unique sound, reminiscent of the music of the 70s and 80s, but with a wild array of influences and styles.

‘Do Ya Wanna’ is an emotional track that speaks to the need for deep, trusted love and friendships. This sentiment is echoed in other songs by the band, which is clearly driven by passion and their willingness to deliver relatable storytelling. Project 1268 is a musical journey you should experience by yourselves – go on.
