Alan Dreezer Unveils Triumphant Album ‘Nothing Changes If Nothing Changes’

‘Nothing Changes If Nothing Changes’ is Alan Dreezer’s third solo album to date, a record that’s both sonically rewarding and lyrically inspiring. Certainly worth diving deeper into it.

Marking Alan Dreezer’s latest album, ‘Nothing Changes If Nothing Changes’ has been a long time in the making, so much so that we teased its arrival on May ‘25, when we celebrated ‘Apart’ as “finding comfort in understated, liminal vibes, a tapestry of synthy atmospheres and orchestral strings”. Such a description resonates well with the album’s wider theming and sonic references. As we observed it, the record oscillated between melancholic, cinematic offerings and more uplifting, kinetic episodes.

It’s a fine balance, one that showcases the eclectic yet purposeful character guiding Dreezer’s talented artistry. He’s not afraid of reaching the roots of human emotions, as well as embracing intoxicating euphoria and hopeful melodies (‘99 Percent’ is the perfect example of that). Now 61, the Eastbourne-based creative still holds a striking artistic stamina, and it’s clear that he truly enjoys expressing himself through the aural medium. ‘Nothing Changes If Nothing Changes’ largely mirrors such sentiment, a wonderful album that does not feel dated or derivative, instead doubling down on its peculiar and modern allure.

Delving deeper into the meaningful and introspective lyrical ethos that propels the record, Dreezer explains: “This album is about accountability. It’s about recognising patterns, facing uncomfortable truths, and understanding that if you want something different, you have to do something different.” It’s an incredibly powerful message, one that will likely inspire listeners all around the globe. It certainly inspired us to be our best selves, a quality that’s rather precious and desirable in today’s evil-leaning reality.

Anyone who wants a physical copy of ‘Nothing Changes If Nothing Changes’ can get it here. A 12-page booklet is also included.
