aktenzeichen_t Observes the Harsh Reality of Our World in New EP

‘Midnight Between Lagrange Points’ is indeed a German record. Built on industrial electronica, hypnotic techno and experimental sound design, the EP feels quite magical and otherworldly, wrapping the listeners into an intense, bold and futuristic listening experience. In truth, while there’s a certain amount of futurism in it, we can also notice some retro influences, with gritty synth arpeggios taking us back to the 80s and beyond. aktenzeichen_t is the talented creative behind such a compelling record.

Hailing from Leipzig, aktenzeichen_t drives a pretty fierce DIY artistic ethos, working out of his bedroom and writing music that reflects the gloomy reality around him. Written as a political statement about the increasing amount of hate in today’s society, ‘Midnight Between Lagrange Points’ develops over five episodes, including a remix of ‘Trinity’ (a piece that reminds the notable ‘Trinity Test’).

Delving deeper into the record, aktenzeichen_t explains: “Released 80 years after the first nuclear device detonated during Trinity Test, the EP faces the fact that today’s world politics are messed up. The world is floating between equilibrium points of forces that cancel each other out. Hypocrisy, Hate, racism and wars are in the everyday news. It’s my small protest against a world fighting the wars of rich people who never get their hands dirty and act also never act in our interests.”
