Delving deeper into the meaningful outlook that lies behind the record, Raeja explains: “This song came from a conversation with a dear Nigerian friend and fellow artist Obong Priesto. We talked a lot about the meanings behind our languages and cultural customs, and we were chatting one day about the idea of alchemy and how bringing together multiple cultures and languages into one life can be very challenging… That got me thinking about what a perfect metaphor alchemy is not only for blending cultures and beliefs in a harmonious way, but also how this process works in terms of love and human relationships.”
