It’s been less than a year since ‘Hindsight’ originally came out, yet the record is still incredibly relevant, so much so that CA in LA have recently unveiled a deluxe version of it. In it, we find two new additions to the already lengthy tracklist, ‘Waking Up’ and ‘Clarity’. ‘Hindsight (Deluxe Edition)’ is out now, also available in a physical vinyl edition.
Originally released in November ’25, ‘Hindsight’ renews the musical partnership between Courtney Birk and Ashleigh Coffelt. Both talented singers and songwriters, the pair has built up CA in LA as a project drenched in reflection and meaningful imagery. Now based in Los Angeles, the Baltimore-born creatives appear to have struck sonic gold, a hard bargain between indie-rock dynamism and pop-lenient lyricism.
From a lyrical standpoint, the album is quite personal and decisively introspective, marking a pivotal milestone in CA in LA’s growing career. As we are told: “It’s a journey through the chapters of life that shaped them into who they are today. Having lived through complex human emotions and the challenges of navigating life’s vulnerability, the album channels moments of pain, uncertainty, and personal transformation into a body of work that approaches the past with newfound understanding and acceptance.” We appreciate such honesty and authenticity, all qualities that are likely going to make ‘Hindsight (Deluxe Edition)’ very relatable.
