Featuring three vibrant and emotive pieces, the record weaves darkwave and distant goth influences into a spacious, sombre package, one that’s relatively fast-tempo and electrifying, but also hypnotic and gritty. Hints of post-punk and emo allure are also a constant, something that should also be credited to German producer Manget$u, working with RIOT SON on the record.

It’s the sort of record where the artist makes it a point to confront inner demons and breakthrough reckonings, a stream of relatable and evocative imagery that will no doubt connect with a brooding audience. This technique allowed me to capture the ‘Appalachian Gloom’ that defines my work, a sound that feels like a wall of echo bouncing off castle walls shrouded in mountain fog.”
