It appears as if the Tucson-based alt-rock outfit describes the reality around them with an observant eye, translating all the societal dissonance and general chaos into musical material. It seems to be working well so far: if ‘Chaos Ritual’ tells us anything, it is that Broken Romeo have struck the perfect balance between meaningful lyricism and obscure distortions and guitar riffs. What’s not to like? From that perspective, the listener is met with nostalgic, familiar alt-rock allure, and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
‘Chaos Ritual’ is taken from the band’s upcoming album, ‘Infimus Orbis’. Furthermore, the record will also feature a wider creative project of the same name, involving a short film series that will expand the sonic storytelling with cinematic visuals. About the single, Broken Romeo explain: “The song explores the darker side of human habits, obsession, and self-destruction, all themes that strike with immediacy in today’s fractured world.”
