Well, Hart is now back, bolder and louder than ever: ‘Thank You For Leaving’ feels anthemic and evocative, a slice of cathartic lyricism wrapped in a dynamic and luscious production.
What’s not to like? Showcasing her striking vocal tone and introspective songwriting, Hart embarks on a heartwarming journey of reckoning and independence, particularly around romantic themes and the pains of heartbreak. What’s more, the track was first performed in front of 5000 fans at a Louis Tomlinson show in Zurich, with Hart having the pleasure of opening the night. The experience marked an important milestone for Cristina’s career, who’s now back in full force and eager to take up the artistic space that’s rightfully hers.
Speaking more in depth about the inspiration behind ‘Thank You For Leaving’, Hart explains: “This music is about being unapologetically honest. It’s messy, it’s emotional, it’s loud, it’s angry. I want people to scream these songs in their bedrooms or on their way to cut someone off.”
