LED Return with Bold Pop-Punk Anthem ‘Goodbye Eric’

The keen reader will gladly remember Los Angeles-based young band LED. Featuring their debut effort ‘Lies All Lies’ earlier this year, we celebrated the record as “a fierce and bittersweet pop-rock anthem”, a statement we proudly stand by. Formed by musicians and creatives Edie Yvonne, Layne Olivia, and Lockett Pence, the three-piece group has recently returned with another electrifying offering, ‘Goodbye Eric’.

A particularly roaring and hard-hitting piece, ‘Goodbye Eric’ truly delves into LED’s pop-punk character, turning up the guitar-powered heat to the max. Yet, even among such sleazy riffs and commanding drum grooves, the project manages to retain a clear lyrical outlook, with Yvonne and Olivia lending their precious and bold vocals to the cause. In this case, the song is described as “an inside joke”, adding to the record’s already brooding and nebulous flair.

Of course, we must mention how talented LED are turning out to be; all great musicians in their own right, often with parallel solo careers and developing multiple projects. Yvonne, Olivia, and Lockett are also fully immersed in LA’s cultural euphoria, originally meeting at a film camp in summer 2024. We can also reveal that they are already working on a musical follow-up, with ‘Hot Mess’ set to be released soon.
