On the lookout for the hottest bands? Make sure to add Fiasco to your collection. Emerging from the eclectic Welsh music scene, the Swansea-based group debuted last year with ‘Animal’, a blues-rock energetic gem that offered a glimpse of the band’s musical prowess. Earlier this summer, Fiasco returned with a new record, ‘Hey Man’. The single took the band’s sound and sonic impact to a whole new level, instantly putting them on the map as one of the freshest releases of the year. Although less blues-flavoured than its predecessor, the track continues in a heavy rock direction, with intelligible vocals and friendly melodies.
The locals will have known about Fiasco for a while. The band originally got together in 2018, thanks to shared experiences; since then, a bunch of live concerts have motivated the guys to focus on the project and developed it the best they can. We are glad they did that, there is clearly something solid in it!
Boasting a staggering recording quality, ‘Hey Man’ encompasses all of the best qualities the Welsh talents have to offer: gritty guitars, punchy and energetic drums, blended into catchy riffs and charming stabs. Although, they are just as capable of delivering mellow and poignant moments, as seen in the track’s bridge. Honestly, this is a record you should all get into!
