Vidorra Releases Witty and Bouncy Gem ‘Here We Go Again’

Listening to the refined production work on ‘Here We Go Again’ – Vidorra’s latest single – is pretty enlightening. The Stafford talent crafts something brilliant and exciting, he displaces the standard pulses of the beat around the bar, causing a certain confusion in the unaccustomed listener. As you proceed through the listening experience, it all starts to make sense: the gritty, eerie synth line and the unconventional beat. In fact, it’s genius work, since it gives the track a peculiar identity while retaining a bouncy, friendly quality.

Of course, we wouldn’t expect anything less from Vidorra. Emerging from England, he’s not only a producer, but also a gifted songwriter and drummer. A brief dive into his Spotify catalogue reveals a very, very productive artist, with more than ten releases this year alone. His career has been on the rise since before the pandemic, collaborating with other artists and even being a founding member of indie newcomers Spilt Milk Society.

You’ll find Vidorra where he is needed. And in a hip-hop scene that seems to be running out of ideas, he’s deeply needed. The Stafford resident is able to innovate using available tools, blending EDM tones into trap formulas and exploring deeper in terms of sound design.

‘Here We Go Again’ showcases exactly that, together with his controlled, near-perfect vocals.

Describing the inspiration behind the song, Vidorra explains: “This track, was born of a vibe. The lyrics for the hook were me simply trying to acknowledge the feeling, and give a melodic and rhythmic point of reference. It ended up being pretty true—every time I make a new vibe I’m gearing up and thinking “here we go again”. It’s fun to listen back because I remember exactly how I felt.”
