What a year has been for Tony & The Kiki! Following up on their acclaimed 2022 album ‘Dirty Secrets’, the New York-based outfit have boldly kick-started a new creative era, getting back to their roots with a heavier, grandiose sound steeped in glam-rock and disco influences. Echoing the libertine, nostalgic atmosphere of an 80s NYC club, Tony & The Kiki uncovers an aural journey that’s euphoric, intense and hard-hitting, but also luscious, sultry and suggestive.
Taking 2025 to a close, the American heroes come full circle with a proud, energetic EP, ‘FUCQ (Vol. 1)’, the arrival point of a year-long journey that has transformed Tony & The Kiki into a glam powerhouse. What’s not to like? Packed with five anthemic and dance-inducing episodes, ‘Fornifications Under Consent of Queens’ feels powerful and charismatic, a queer-coded dive into authentic, vibrant songwriting and kinetic production. ‘HOLY XTC’ is the EP’s driving single.
Delving deeper into the EP, Tony explains: “I love this little record we made so damn much- we wanted to come back to releasing music in a way that felt singular to us. Something that was eclectic and rockin’ and dancey- A fantasy rooted in the grit of NYC- at the intersection of a dank rock club and a glittering disco floor.”
