Tom Saint Gears Up for Upcoming EP with ‘too young to fall in love’

Gearing up for his upcoming EP, ‘SAINT’, Tom Saint has already begun to slowly unveil the various pieces of the puzzle. While the EP is expected for October 8th, Saint has recently unveiled an appetiser from that very same record, ‘too young to fall in love’. Produced by alt-heavyweight Kid Brunswick, the single feels incredibly gloomy and slick, empowering a melancholic new wave quality that’s incredibly modern and contemporary.

Short and straight to the point, ‘too young to fall in love’ benefits from a catchy, repetitive lyrical outlook, with Saint not using more than 40 words in it. As he explains: “I’ve always avoided repetition – I thought it was lazy writing – but this time I leaned into it, aiming to create something direct, catchy, and memorable”. The strategy worked: ‘too young to fall in love’ is intense and fierce, with an obscure equality increasingly its relatable, memorable character.

Delving deeper into the inspiration behind the upcoming EP, Tom shares: “It plays as a narrative, each song charting my journey from the depths of depression, with each track exploring the emotions felt on this journey. The EP is the sound of me shedding my skin as an emo rapper and speaking from a place of real truth. ‘SAINT’ is a musical art piece that charts and finally celebrates my own realisation that I am the master of my own fate.”
