Thurane Shares Heartfelt ‘Big House’ Cover, Now in Free Download

“It’s my father’s house” is a rather witty line to include in a Christian rock tune. Originally included in Audio Adrenaline’s original hit ‘Big House’, that exact line is now borrowed by American troubadour Thurane, offering his own cover version of the same track. The vibe is pretty similar, perhaps a tad less playful, with an increased rock’n’roll twist. The original record was particularly famous in the nineties, a period that we suspect has been a profoundly formative time for Thurane.

Available for free download at this link, ‘Big House’ showcases Thurane’s smokey, full-bodied vocals, here delivered with understated nonchalance and uplifting flair. Recorded at the legendary Saltmine Studios in Mesa, Arizona, the track features the likes of Andy Augustin on Drums, Brad Sirota on Bass and Austin Deptula in the Co-Producer & Post Production chair. Thurane’s towering presence is the cherry on top, with the American talent taking care of guitar and vocals.

Speaking about the heightened meaning behind the song, he explains: “At a time of great division of the political Left and Right, this song melts away those extremes, acknowledges our humanity and reaches out to the deep abiding need for connection we all feel in our souls.” We are confident that the record will resonate with a global audience. It is set for general release on July 11th, but again, you can download it here
