thinking silly might have been on a hiatus, but the human behind the project has not. Known by day as Dylan Morrison, he enjoyed militance in clearcut and Stereo Ghosts. It’s the latter experience that led him to fellow musician Margot Taylor, now also playing a role in ‘small town syndrome’. She’s the producer and mixer, helping Morrison reach his fullest potential. That’s exactly what happens, with thinking silly sounding incredibly contemporary and vibrant.
Delving deeper into the lyricism behind the piece, the British riser explains: “The song is about the feelings of frustration associated with a long-distance relationship. When you are living in a small town and your partner is in a big city, it is easy to begin to resent your circumstances and wish things were different.” Overall, we believe this is a very strong comeback from thinking silly, and we are curious to see what’s coming next. Judging by what we have heard so far, there’s a high probability of great things.
