The Lonely Together Return with the Punchy and Infectious ‘Don’t Ask Don’t Get’

Edinburgh-based dream rockers The Lonely Together have just unleashed their killer new single called ‘Don’t Ask Don’t Get’. Punchy, driving, and seriously infectious, it’s a tune that showcases just how solid and tight the band actually is. Far from only being accomplished musicians, the track also displays The Lonely Together’s relatable and emotional storytelling prowess. A tale of uncommunicated desire, of risk versus reward, and of the universal message of love and hope, ‘Don’t Ask Don’t Get’ is truly a faultless song in so many ways!

I love the no-holds-barred attitude that kicks in straight from the off. It’s almost as if the band are saying “Here we are – and we ain’t going nowhere!” They worked alongside Rod Jones (best known as a founding member of the Scottish indie-rock act Idlewild) to get the exact sound that they were after, and credit the musician for “enhancing both the story and the colours surrounding it.”

‘Don’t Ask Don’t Get’ is the first single from The Lonely Together’s upcoming sophomore album ‘Endless Sunset Oblivion’. Scheduled for release sometime in August of this year, it’s an album that I’m really looking forward to hearing. I’m loving the act’s fresh sound and style, and see big things coming in their near future!

Serious tune alert! Enjoy ‘Don’t Ask Don’t Get’ on Spotify now:
