The Flying Beets Return with Killer New Single ‘Villain’

Rounding off the week is ‘Villain’, the smashing new single from Fort Worth-based indie rockers The Flying Beets. Comprised of frontman Nathan Waller, bassist David Cross, and drummer/real-life Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle (look it up!) Kenn Scott, The Flying Beets are newcomers on the scene, but they’re already racking up some pretty decent streaming numbers!

As their third release to date, ‘Villain’ showcases the band’s evolving and maturing sound. A rich, punchy, and expertly assembled rock ‘n’ roll tune, the tune is a clear indication that we’re dealing with some seriously talented musicians. And, as for Waller’s vocal performance, well it’s really just a masterclass in intensity and delivery. His voice has previously been compared to the likes of Roy Orbison, Chris Isaac, Elvis Costello, and Eddie Vedder. That’s not bad company to be in!

Having only been out a little over a month, ‘Villain’ has already surpassed 13,000 plays on Spotify. It’s clear that The Flying Beets’ music is resonating with a wide audience, and after hearing their first three singles, it’s not hard to understand why! Here’s to many more!

Serious tune alert! Enjoy ‘Villain’ on Spotify now:
