The Bellwethers’ ‘Schizophrenic Zen’ is Gritty, Raw, and Powerful

‘Schizophrenic Zen’ is the title track from The Bellwether‘s 2018 album and it’s a powerful and emotive tune that showcases the band’s raw talent and passion. The Phoenix-based act has always been known for their dedication to creating “real music”, meaning no computers or drum machines or anything like that. This is dirty, gritty, old-school rock ‘n’ roll at its finest. ‘Schizophrenic Zen’ is a hard-hitting and in-your-face track that, for its full duration of four minutes and forty-five seconds, refuses to let up. It’s pure, raw, and honest.

Drawing on influence from some of the biggest names in rock; The Beatles, Pink Floyd, and Jane’s Addiction, The Bellwethers are determined to forge their own path in the music world. Their unique sound and unwavering belief in what they are doing set them apart from many of their contemporaries, making them a must-listen for fans of authentic rock music.

The Bellwethers released their debut album ‘Kismet’ back in 2013, so they aren’t exactly newcomers. Having said that, we feel like they deserve a wider audience. Give ‘Schizophrenic Zen’ a listen and let us know what you think.
