Saint Clare Mark Comeback with Smashing and Heartfelt New Single ‘Half Bad’

It’s been six years since the Ontario-based act Saint Clare released new music, but the band are proud to announce that they have a whole bunch of new tunes they’ll be releasing throughout the year. First up is ‘Half Bad’, a smashing and anthemic piece of rock genius I’ve fallen completely in love with.

Penned during the early months of the COVID-19 pandemic, after the catastrophic loss of a loved one, it’s a track that calls for love to carry us through the darkest of moments. “It’s a heartfelt song about life coming at you fast, what ifs, and the harsh reality of mental health challenges that impact us all at some point in life,” says the act.

Recorded and produced by the legendary Mike Dubue, (Hilotrons, Scattered Clouds) ‘Half Bad’ leans into alternative rock and almost new-wave territory. Matthew Saint Clare’s vocal performance is simply magical, bringing a raw and wholehearted intensity to the tune. It’s a deeply emotional experience to be perfectly honest with you, and I can’t wait to hear what else the band has up their sleeves in the coming months!

Serious tune alert! Enjoy ‘Half Bad’ on Spotify and YouTube now:
