A successful and popular figure in the global electronic scene, Rose Ringed navigates a personal style that’s anthemic, evocative and highly relatable, as ‘One More Time’ and ‘Blue Eyes’ strongly showcase. Both singles are taken from the Amsterdam-based DJ and producer’s upcoming album, a collection of wonderful tunes set to pay a heartfelt homage to Rose Ringed’s mother, who passed away when he was 11.
It’s a highly personal and meaningful album for the Dutch creative, a collection of nuanced aural episodes set for release on October 17th. All pieces of the puzzle will be unveiled gradually, with ‘One More Time’ and ‘Blue Eyes’ serving as powerful previews of what’s to come. Oscillating between mainstream and leftfield, the tracks feel hazy and dreamy, while carrying a great deal of nostalgia and melancholia. Rose Ringed also sings on the album, giving his work a new and fresh twist.
Delving deeper into his work, the talented DJ and producer explains: “The album recounts my mourning experience, as if I were 11. The message I want to convey to people is that whatever your background is, you can heal through this pain if you dare to face it. I want to learn people that running away is doing the opposite of what u want, when u face the pain and trauma, it will grow u in such a beautiful way.”
