Ro Nova Shares Bold, Relatable Cut ‘Chase the Sadness’

There’s a reason if Ro Nova has been picked by crucial British tastemakers, the likes of BBC Radio 1 and Reprezent Radio, and selected for Brighton’s The Great Escape Festival as a rising act. The reason is simple, yet complex at the same time. Hear us out: Ro Nova’s music is great. Sounds simple, doesn’t it? Sure, except that reaching that point takes years of hard graft, purposeful practice and undivided commitment. The British talent did all that, and it’s now demanding the mainstream space she deserves. Such a space is steeped in 80s-esque flair and synth-pop euphoria, with hints of nocturne synthwave.

Ro Nova’s aural energy is firmly gripped onto lyrical introspection and evocative, relatable motifs, a feature that gives the whole project a fearless and potent character. ‘Chase the Sadness’ is the perfect example of that, an unrepentant, pulsating pop nugget framed in shiny production and uplifting flair. What more could you wish for?
