A well-known name in the international electronic scene, Rival Consoles has always embraced a deeply leftfield ethos, constantly pushing the boundaries of avant-garde sound design and intense, haunting melodic material. The result is a stream of incredible records that have been hypnotising audiences for the past twenty years.
‘Catherine’ is Rival Console’s latest work to see the light of day. A dazzling concoction of pointillism and modulating matter, the single wraps the listeners into an otherworldly, fierce sonicscape, one that’s still quite familiar and relatable, yet striking and futuristic. The single is taken from Console’s upcoming album ‘Landscape from Memory’, out July 4th via Erased Tapes.
Rival Console explains: “It represents a blossoming style partly stitched together from a scrapbook of discarded audio snippets, which demanded a degree of openness and vulnerability in its assembly.”
