RBLN Shares Club Banger ‘Séance’

RBLN took us back to our youth – dancing in the best clubs in the UK to the hypnotising sound of deep house and lo-fi house. ‘Séance’ is exactly that, a blend of chilled yet hard-hitting dance goo, balanced between mainstream and leftfield with an icy character and a vibrant sonic picture. It’s also an eclectic record, with the outro featuring some old-school vinyl ‘scratching’ effect.

A pretty talented guy, RBLN. Based in Palm Springs’ sunny Californian lands, the American producer appears to know very well the cultural universe he’s moving into. Certainly a keen observer of dance music, he’s able to craft a hard-hitting, intense gem that’s also elegant and measured.

What more could you want? Some records just work, and ‘Séance’ is one of those. Sure, it might not appeal to the average listener, but any club head out there will be able to instantly appreciate it. Speaking about his inspiration, RBLN explains: “The (Berlin) club and music scene. Finding creative inspiration from acts such as Kilo Kish, Yaeji, Shygirl and Kelela”.
