Patience Please Deliver Potent New EP ‘Miles Away’

‘Miles Away’ advances Patience Please’s triumphant journey towards national recognition. It’s British guitar fervour at its best, a bold guitar-driven formula that never forgets its lyrical relevance.

It hasn’t been long since Patience Please’s debut in the summer of 2025. Merely a few months. Yet, the West London indie outfit has been able to achieve a series of commendable milestones, including airplay on BBC Introducing and BBC Radio 2, alongside shows in some of London’s most notable small venues. Why? Well, it’s fair to say that the group’s music is simply quite good. People have taken notice of it and are rightfully championing the project. ‘Miles Away’ allows us to do exactly that: marking Patience Please’s debut EP, the record continues the band’s triumphant journey into national recognition.

Packing six vibrant indie episodes, ‘Miles Away’ showcases the British group’s dynamic range and their inherent energy. Punchy and bold offerings such as title track ‘Miles Away’ and ‘Pretend’ co-exist next to mellower, more evocative pieces, the likes of ‘Madeleine and ‘Wasting Time’. Heightened attention should be given to Patience Please’s catchy, anthemic hooks and resonant choruses, the kind of stadium-ready goodness that echoes some of Britain’s most iconic bands, never sounding derivative or unoriginal. It’s an EP that feels familiar, yet also fresh and exciting. Patience Please are Ollie Palmer on vocals and guitar, Arthur Marriott on Lead guitar, and Tommy Lane on Drums.

Delving deeper into the ethos behind the EP, Palmer shares: “This collection of songs feels like a snapshot of exactly who we are right now. There are big, loud moments rooted in honest songwriting, full of energy and catchy hooks. But there are also intimate moments where you really hear what we’re feeling underneath it all. We’re so excited to finally share it with the world.” Mission achieved: ‘Miles Away’ is an EP that delivers the best of both worlds. Lyrically meaningful and relevant, but also explosive and loud.
