NATZEL Shares Cathartic Effort ‘Let It Go’

Not all music is written equally. Some of it is rather performative, crafted to fit a certain formula or a precise trend. Thankfully, some of it is also incredibly meaningful, written as a heartfelt reaction to life’s many ups and downs. ‘Let It Go’ is the perfect evidence of that. Penned by British anthemic rocker Wayne Natzel, the piece finds fertile territories in the artist’s own personal experience, functioning as a cathartic, expressive tool for coping with an eclectic existence.

Taken from NATZEL’s comeback album ‘Bring It On’, ‘Let It Go’ sees Wayne returning to the music industry after an extensive hiatus, a pause that allowed him to start a family. Well, his fiery musical core seems not to have diminished, with ‘Let It Go’ offering a high-octane, striking listening experience, once that’s highlighted by NATZEL’s earth-shattering vocals and guitar-fuelled extravaganza. Steeped in modern indie and post-rock influences, the record is punchy and commanding.

Delving deeper into the single, Wayne explains: “I realised music is not about age, it’s about drive and telling stories people can relate to. ‘Let It Go’ was born from a real-life confrontation at work, but it quickly became an anthem about choosing peace over resentment.” Holding a multicultural background (Indian, Polish and Scottish) and having a keen passion for mental health advocacy, NATZEL is the natural outlet for such a powerful message.
