We have written enthusiastically about MUANH in the past, and we find ourselves doing the same yet again. It’s perhaps an easy action on our part, given the German-Vietnamese songstress’s quality output. Based in Germany but geared towards an international audience, the project is incredibly blessed and dreamy, wrapping listeners in heartwarming sonic goodness and introspective, hazy lyricism. ‘Secret’ is the perfect evidence of that.
Marking MUANH’s latest effort, ‘Secret’ embarks on a slower, tender direction, showcasing the talented creative’s softer, more reflective side. Mellow and lush, the record develops slowly yet with purpose, placing heightened attention to emotional and nostalgic lyricism. As MUANH explains: “It’s about two people drifting apart in a place where staying hurts more than leaving. I wrote and produced this song in my room, then recorded live instruments with my talented band.”
