We truly enjoyed listening to ‘Ever Since’. Penned by German-Vietnamese songstress MUANH, the track is a gentle, playful fever dream, incredibly expressive and evocative. Introduced by mangled guitar tones and nuanced atmospheres, the record soon blooms into fully fledged indie goodness. MUANH’s vocals are perfectly hazy and ethereal, working well with the track’s buoyant production and the overall cinematic flair. There’s also a pinch of soulfulness, crowning an artistic formula that’s simply wonderful.
In fact, we can’t quite stop listening to it. ‘Ever Since’ is rather catchy, especially during its chorus. Pair that with the many floaty textures and the sax solo in the outro, and you’ve got a winner. We are bullish about MUANH, and we know for a fact that she’s destined for greater stages and wider audiences. It’s just a matter of time.
Speaking about the inspiration behind ‘Ever Since’, MUANH explains: “It started out with an electric guitar loop in my home studio and a simple jam on my own —a reflection on the constant feeling of not quite belonging, of loneliness, and the quiet beauty in embracing it.”
