On the surface, ‘Spring 2025’ might appear as your run-of-the-mill cinematic, ambient piece (albeit a really good one). Yet, at a deeper look, the record reveals a much bigger, meaningful ethos, an artistic direction that deeply connects with Max Season’s cathartic compositional flair. You see, the French producer and creative has spent years working behind the scenes, lending his skills to fellow artists and successful records; now, he’s entering the spotlight himself, presenting ‘Cycles’, a series of four pieces built on the infallible passing of the seasons.
Released right at the beginning of summer, ‘Spring 2025’ seeks to celebrate and memorialise the gentle springtime, serving as a closing soundtrack that’s packed with evocative character and melancholic flair. There’s also an anthemic quality to it, with the single built on bold sound design and cinematic allure. ‘Cycles’ will then feature three other instalments, each one revealed at the end of each season.
Delving deeper into such a unique concept, Max Season explains: “Each piece in ‘Cycles’ is meant to act as a marker, something to return to. A way to hold onto whatever you were living when you first heard it. The tracks aren’t just mine; they’re made to hold space for your own memories too. They exist so you can come back and say: This is where I was.”
