Debuting just over a few weeks ago with ‘L.L.L.’, the Stockholm-based creative blessed us with an honest, ambitious interview, giving us a striking glimpse of her plans and the heightened personal meaning behind the record. In fact, we praised it as “delivering a bubbly, uplifting and kinetic listening experience”, a statement that we certainly stand behind. Following up on that very single, M0n0 Jay has now returned with an electrifying remix version.
Teaming up with French producer ATH (Arthur Conseil), Jay gives ‘L.L.L.’ a modern EDM aura, transforming a playful, quirky pop cut into a club-oriented, intense aural journey. She’s quite adamant about its dance-leaning nature: “an 135+ BPM industrial trance weapon designed exclusively for sweaty, 3:00 AM basement raves.” We did not get a chance to test out its effectiveness yet, but we have high hopes for a successful outcome!
From a production standpoint, ATH takes M0n0’s hyped powerlifter glitter gym pop and transforms it into a raging belter, a potent tune that maintains a mysterious aura, embracing the leftfield and the alternative, never fully going mainstream. It’s just another corner of Jay’s Candy Gym universe, as she slowly builds a loyal audience. It’s an effort that seems to have paid off, having achieved two million views under her name and a plethora of international coverage.
