LOGICA ABSTRACTA Drops Hypnotising Audio-Visual Work ‘fEast’

We still remember diving into LOGICA ABSTRACTA a couple of months back, and being instantly hypnotised by the striking audio-visual narrative driven by the project. A boundary-pushing, experimental effort, the New York-based outfit champions leftfield electronica with a great deal of glitches and expansive soundscapes. Yet, where it most excels is in its holistic ethos, fully on display in the accompanying visuals. ‘fEast’ is LOGICA ABSTRACTA’s latest offering, continuing the slow unveiled of the ‘Ad Adstra’ video/audio EP.

Among a glimmering and nuanced stream of soundscapes, the track feels incredibly dreamy and cathartic, a quality that well fits the art installation that translates the music into visual goodness. As the project’s head honcho, Vadim Militsin, explains: “It is, for the most part, an audiovisual installation and a shadow theatre. Or rather, projector theater, where each scene, layer by layer, turns from 3D into its own on-screen image projection.”

Fully analogue, the video for ‘fEast’ is once again pretty mesmerising and enigmatic, calling for personal interpretation and a deep philosophical journey. There’s a great deal of reflection and artistic expertise in it, once again affirming Militsin’s unapologetic futuristic take on the world around us.
