Julielle’s Debut Single ‘Whiskey Wings’ is a Knockout

Yup…I’m slightly obsessed with the current batch of music coming out of Nashville, Tennessee. Having said that, I’m pretty sure you’ll join me in hailing singer/songwriter Julielle’s debut single ‘Whiskey Wings’ as an instant success. Released just a few days ago, the tune already has over 10,000 plays on Spotify, and for good reason. Working alongside some exceptionally talented session musicians, Julielle and Co have crafted a soulful, country-infused, rock ‘n’ roll classic. The steel guitar brings warmth and depth to proceedings, while the artist’s silvery and sensuous vocals draw you straight in.

The track was inspired by a conversation Julielle had had with friends, as they nostalgically reminisced about getting drunk for the first time. “Getting your ‘Whiskey Wings’ is that in a literal sense,” she says. “But also metaphorically for doing anything for the first time”. Could she have chosen a song more fitting to release as her first?

Influenced by a wide range of artists; Lainey Wilson, Sheryl Crow, Stevie Nicks, Bonnie Raitt, and Joni Mitchell to mention just a few, Julielle has found her sound. Sure, she’s a newcomer to the scene, but a ridiculously exciting one that I have no doubt we’ll be hearing a lot more from.

Serious tune alert! Enjoy ‘Whiskey Wings’ on Spotify now:
