Josh Orange Share Empowering Single ‘Believers & Dreamers (What Have We Become)’

Melodic and inspirational, ‘Believers & Dreamers (What Have We Become)’ is a surprisingly good offering. Penned by Sydney-based outfit Josh Orange, the track feels uplifting, anthemic and catchy, with a charmingly old-school AOR and rock flair well balanced by the single’s lush recording quality. The addition of a harp and a saxophone helps the overall sonic picture reach eclectic territories, never overpowering the vocals or the lyrical charge.

Boasting a whopping twenty-year career, Josh Orange are not your average band. First of all, they are all extremely good musicians, an aspect that’s clearly on display in ‘Believers & Dreamers (What have We Become)’. Secondly, the group share Irish roots thanks to Gordon Burke, originally from Drimnagh, Dublin. This gives their musical output a rather international aura, together with some good old Irish resentment towards the status quo.

Written as a reaction to our gloomy reality, ‘Believers & Dreamers (What Have We Become)’ seeks to empower people in fighting for what they believe is right. As Josh Orange explain: “It’s a song that demands your attention from start to finish, it screams at the listener as it builds and builds to an anthemic climax. Our very fibres of society are being threatened, and this song is an anthem for today.”
