Jeremy M Returns with Buoyant Gem ‘Little Man’

We are rather familiar with Jeremy M. His dreamy, buoyant vocal tone and honest songwriting have gone a long way, ensuring each one of his records is particularly meaningful and elegant. ‘Little Man’ confirms it all, yet again. The British creative’s latest effort, the single is incredibly cathartic and hazy, wrapping Jeremy’s whimsical harmonies into a soft and gentle production, courtesy of Jamie Amos.

It’s not easy, trying to describe Jeremy M’s artistry and sonic impact in literary terms. Since we do have to try, we’d say that the Newcastle-based artist depicts a genuinely personal and poignant universe, one where he’s not afraid to delve into human consciousness and introspective reflections. Take, for instance, ‘Little Man’: in it, Jeremy confronts growth and adulthood, as he’s faced with a future away from home while pursuing a university degree.

As he eloquently explains: “I was thinking a lot about how I had spent most of life pretending to be someone else and how trips such as the one I took to write this song were a way to escape that, but were also quite hard as I had forgotten my true self over all that time. Ultimately, the song is about leaving home and feeling free for the first time, but also being scared of being yourself and making your own decisions.”
