Some records are more impactful than others. That’s the case of ‘Terry’, INDOLORE’s meaningful tribute to the late Terry Reid, English musician and songwriter with a notable career spent alongside legendary music icons. Reid sadly passed away in August 2025, something that deeply moved the Parisian indie-folk troubadour, who had spent some time collaborating with Terry in the years before his death. Therefore, what better way than to commemorate his memory than to write a song for him? ‘Terry’ is exactly that, a tender, melodic, soulful effort carrying all the marks of INDOLORE’s incredible musicianship.
Notably, INDOLORE wrote the song before Reid’s health issues, and the British icon had the chance to hear it before leaving this world. It’s quite a powerful image, something that makes us appreciate INDOLORE’s willingness to celebrate Terry’s memory. Along with the track itself, the listener also gets a live music video, recorded in Paris by Elodie Letaeron. The video also features old footage from Reid’s previous collaboration with INDOLORE.
Paying a heartfelt homage to Terry Reid’s memory, INDOLORE says: “I had the very good fortune to meet British rock legend Terry Reid, to work with him, to write for him, and finally to become his friend. His personality was as grand as his music. Early last year, I wrote and recorded a soulful song in his honour, simply entitled ‘Terry’, to express my deep friendship and admiration for him.”
Praising the record, Graham Nash (two-time Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductee) declares: “What a wonderful song in tribute to my dear friend Terry Reid.”
