heavy on the heart. Return with ‘Smokin’ All The Weed’

Packed with elegant fury and eclectic, bold vibes, ‘Smokin’ All The Weed’ places itself at the intersection of alt-rock and pop-punk, resulting in a record that’s hard-hitting, well-distorted, yet relatable and friendly. That’s what heavy on the heart. stands for: a stream of unwavering guitar-powered goodness with Nikki Bradi’s powerful vocals on top of it.

Writing about the band in a previous feature, we proudly describe them as “building relatable gems which feel emotional and meaningful, while consistently pushing the depth and scope of their instrumentals”. ‘Smokin’ All The Weed’ is the perfect example of that; while at first listen it might appear gritty and drenched in rebellious flair, a closer look reveals the nuanced character of the track’s lyricism, together with slightly nostalgic melodies.

Celebrating the new release, heavy on the heart. also unveiled a live version of the song, recorded in a video format at Zin Records. It’s the perfect occasion to delve deeper into the instrumental abilities of a clearly talented band – especially if you, like us, live across the pond and won’t catch them live anytime soon.
