Since then, the Italian shoegaze phenomena have built up a loyal global following, even earning prestigious opportunities such as a few headline live dates, plus a support slot for the upcoming Softcult European tour. The hype around the group is not a surprise; their sound often transcends the definition of shoegaze, entering new wave and dark wave territories with post-punk charisma. ‘SLAP’ is the latest single to be taken from the band’s long-awaited sophomore album, ‘SONIC’, out now wherever you get your music from. Intense, gloomy and heavier than usual, ‘SLAP’ confirms Glazyhaze’s eagerness in building walls of sounds, and to equally space them out with more reflective, evocative sections. A balance of darkness and emotional reckoning that also takes place throughout the whole album.
