It is certainly not our first rodeo with Nashville-based Americana duo Glass Cabin. Frankly, we are not satiated yet: Jess Brown and Dave Flint have struck sonic gold in the past, and they are continuing to do so in 2025. ‘I Don’t Know’ is the pair’s latest single, an evocative, heartwarming slice of heartland Americana and 70’s classic rock goodness, all delivered following Glass Cabin’s songwriting flair. The song anticipates their 3rd album, expected later this year.
This project is not your average band. Brown and Flint both share a successful career in the American music industry, the former as a hit songwriter and the latter as an accomplished musician and producer. Given such a notable premise, it’s not a surprise that ‘I Don’t Know’ sounds so vivid and satisfying. Flint’s smooth guitar tones are a perfect match for Brown’s earthy, dusty vocals, creating a contrast that feels nostalgic and very authentic. It is pure, unfiltered Americana.
Despite the wealth of illustrious references and experiences Glass Cabin have to offer, their music also is not afraid to push boundaries, perhaps slightly deviating from the beaten path. It’s a sentiment that we feel is particularly true with ‘I Don’t Know’ too, with the single feeling both melancholic and catchy, potentially appealing to a wide audience.
