The Coventry-based singer is not defined by past endeavour or public perception, instead exploring the music landscape with curiosity and eagerness. ‘Tame’ is the result of such a process, a surprisingly smooth and catchy banger that further highlights Emdee’s dynamic vocal tone.
Anticipating the upcoming mixtape ‘Now or Never’, ‘Tame’ mirrors the likes of The Weeknd, Ginuwine, and Justin Timberlake, managing to wrap listeners into an elegant, vibrant sonic experience filled with “themes of desire, passion, and raw emotion” – as Emdee himself explains.
Personally, we are quite impressed by how good he can sing. From a production standpoint, ‘Tame’ bathes in classic R&B territories, with playful string stabs and distorted guitars transforming the track into the most luscious and bouncy jewel out there. We look forward to following Emdee’s artistic journey further, as he transitions from a rap staple to a more eclectic outfit.
