Elena C. Lockleis Shares Relatable Gem ‘Mind – Vs. – Heart’

Not all records need a pompous premise or a painful experience behind them. Some are just simple nuggets of authenticity, the result of personal experience and years of deep creativity. ‘Mind – Vs. – Heart’ is the perfect evidence of that. The latest effort by Los Angeles-based songstress Elena C. Lockleis, the record benefits from Natalia Zuk’s guest vocals and a collaborative production flair, here developed using online platforms and sourcing talent from all around the world.

It’s a formula that seems to work well for Lockleis, a formula that allows the American artist to give her songs an electrifying, evocative livery, one that we are confident will resonate with a wide audience out there. From a sonic standpoint, ‘Mind – Vs. – Heart’ navigates elegant pop territories, letting Zuk’s vocals command the listeners’ attention and guiding them through Elena’s nuanced storytelling.

Delving deeper into the inspiration behind the record, Lockleis explains: “This release is definitely inspired by Julia Michaels. One of the artists I would love the opportunity to work with. I think a lot about what love might look like for me in the future. What love might look like in the future, with depression mixed in. This is one of my songs that explores that.”
