East Hollywood Outfit LED Debuts with Potent Single ‘Lies All Lies’

Echoing the electrifying, boundary-pushing character of a youth-driven new band, LED make their debut today, emerging with a fierce and bittersweet pop-rock anthem, ‘Lies All Lies’. Drenched in charming fuzziness and a carefree, slick character, the single oscillates between sharp distortions and luscious, melodious vocals, here provided by Los Angeles-based teen star Edie Yvonne and fellow powerhouse Layne. Teaming up drummer Lockett, the three talents transform LED into a nugget of young euphoria, a project that we certainly believe in from the get-go.

All between the ages of 14 and 16, Edie, Layne and Lockett first met at a film camp in summer 2024, exploring a common interest in eclectic guitar-based music and lyrical vulnerability. Since then, the group has performed at the Whisky, Hotel Cafe, the Mint and more. References are far and wide, although ‘Lies All Lies’ slots itself into the current pop-punk renaissance, although with softer tones and a keen indie flair.

As the story goes, the single was originally written “for a short film produced by Pac Theater, and marks the first song written together by the band”. We strongly suspect that ‘Lies All Lies’ is only the beginning of a legendary storyline, one that we are eager to explore further.
