A renowned DJ and producer, the talented creative focuses on blending evocative melodic/deep house influences with tropical vibes, making for a stunningly dreamy and lush musical concoction that’s conquered a rather large audience so far. Jayli’s own event and label brand – Jagged Jungle – is the strongest evidence of that.
The London-based alchemist is an overall creative; from recording her grandfather clock on a beach in Bali, to involving live guitar and sax in her electronic music productions, she appears to have clear ideas about where she’s headed, at least artistically. ‘Hey How Are You?’ is the result of such a process. Jayli’s latest effort, the record sees the British DJ indulging in the most hypnotic, escapism-driven melodic house track we have ever heard, with cinematic textures, sampled voices and a heavenly sax wrapping listeners into an ethereal, cathartic universe – one that’s also pretty dance-inducing.
