Cubicore Returns to the Techno Underground with Latest EP ‘Bring It Back’

Cubicore stands out for larger-than-life bass tones and an explosive kinetic charge. It’s some of the most obscure, more electrifying techno we have heard in a long time.

Last we heard from Cubicore was in June 2025, with ‘White Horse’ setting a new benchmark for our expectations from the project. We celebrated it as “hypnotising, dark techno goodness”, a tagline that seems to have become a sort of life mission for the Ukrainian DJ and producer. In particular, Cubicore stands out for larger-than-life bass synths, a brand of gritty, sharp bass tones drenched in digital allure and futuristic charge. ‘Bring It Back’ is the perfect evidence of that, a record which marks a welcome return to instrumental, club-driven territories.

Released just a couple of weeks ago, ‘Bring It Back’ EP features the title track and a B-side, ‘Broken Flow’. Both offerings are incredibly hard-hitting and twitchy, a slice of explosive modern techno drenched in industrial textures and nightcore grooves. Cubicore appears to be stepping back from the mainstream scene, finding a worthy refuge in the obscure underground of electronic music. As one might expect, the EP carries a heightened kinetic potential, and overall, this is a record that needs to be felt, absorbed, rather than understood. It’s a vibe, an ephemeral moment of electrifying escapism.

Taking a cue from ‘White Horse’, Cubicore continues to develop a robotic digital persona, a choice that fits the music very well. ‘Bring it Back’ EP is not your average commercial techno. It’s a gloomy, intense and urgent jump into the unknown, one that rewards late-night shenanigans and club dancefloors.
