A talented songstress and burn survivor based in New Jersey, CTLN (standing for ‘Caitlin’) crafts incredibly personal and vulnerable material, healing-driven gems steeped in personal experience and a highly inspiring aura. It’s not all wonderful lyricism, though; the American creative also enjoys assembling a tapestry of dreamy, hazy sonic goodness, as ‘Atlas’ rightly showcases.
Built on buoyant, eclectic beats, the single moves with angelic and cathartic energy, blurring the line between neo-soul and trip-hop. CTLN’s luscious and elegant vocals are a joy to listen to, always committing to adventurous melodies and a thousand harmonies. Written as a romantic fever dream, the song imagines the experience of getting back with one’s ex… especially the one you are struggling to forget.
As CTLN metaphorically explains: “I wrote this record with, for, and about my lover as an ode to our love planet, Atlas, where we can be alone and fully immersed in each other’s souls <3”
