Chris Quesnel Unveils Summer Banger ‘Tarantino’

We are decisively getting closer to summer, and it’s only natural to look for euphoric, uplifting gems that can enrich our sun-filled days. Well, ‘Tarantino’ is a strong contender for that, with a feel-good, bright, alt-pop and indie outlook built on anthemic, catchy songwriting and hyped-up production. Featuring a massive guitar riff (think ‘Party In The U.S.A’), towering drums and familiar melodies, ‘Tarantino’ really hits the mark when it comes to summer bangers. In fact, we are fairly confident that we’ll be listening to the song plenty in the next few months.

The record is proudly brought to you by Canadian star Chris Quesnel. Teaming up with Californian producer Matthew May, the Montreal-based creative writes about short romantic flings, fleeting attraction, and the spark of discovering a connection with a stranger. If you have ever been on holiday, you might know what he’s talking about. Basically, that’s your summer fling right there. We particularly appreciate the final result: ‘Tarantino’ is catchy and relatable, yet never obvious or too mainstream. The perfect balance between the mainstream and indie coolness.

Speaking about the record, Quesnel explains: “This song is about falling in love with a stranger and feeling that spark from the very first moment you meet. It was inspired by a time when I instantly connected with someone on a date — it felt like we already knew each other, almost like living in a fantasy. I wanted to tell a story that captures those summer vibes and the excitement of a fun first date.”
