Carson Aday’s ‘Chest Pain’ is a Rich and Hauntingly Beautiful Tune

‘Chest Pain’ is the moving new single from Texas-based singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Carson Aday. It’s also the first we’ve heard from him since his highly acclaimed 2021 album ‘Midnight on a Flower Moon’. Reflecting on the highs and lows of a past relationship, Carson blends his rich, soulful, and smoky vocals with a graceful and haunting acoustic guitar. His vocal performance is one of the best I’ve heard all year – there’s just something ineffable in his voice that I simply cannot escape!

Drawing on inspiration from the old masters like The Beatles and Elvis Presley, Carson also cites more contemporary acts as having influenced his sound; Billie Eilish and Harry Styles to name just two. I think it’s this combination of old and new, classic and contemporary, that’s given the musician his distinctive and signature sound. It’s a sound that many are beginning to take notice of and, as far as we’re concerned, it’s richly deserved.

Produced by the multi-platinum and Grammy-award-winning Mikal Blue, (OneRepublic, Jason Mraz, Five For Fighting) ‘Chest Pain’ is really a perfect song from start to finish. Deep, emotional, haunting, exceptional. Please excuse me while I go and put on ‘Midnight on a Flower Moon’, and look forward to hearing what Carson gifts the world next.
