Caden Stone Shares Decadent, Gloomy Anthem ‘For The Devil’

Emboldened by his mysterious, ghostly aesthetic, Caden Stone has been blooming into an alternative icon, embracing bold yet evocative dark wave and indie flair that feels hypnotic and hard-hitting. While the project’s outside appearance might trick some into thinking of Stone as a goth project, the reality is way more eclectic, with the Nashville-based artist flourishing on a fuzzy and anthemic formula made up of decadent rock stylings, relatable melodies, and a blues/stomp character that’s highly memorable.

‘For The Devil’ is the perfect evidence of that. Stone’s latest effort, it anticipates an EP, ‘Halogen Heart’, expected on August 8th. If the single is anything to go by, we are in for a stunning, electrifying collection of tunes. At just 22, Caden appears to be building an empire, a darkness-laden one, a place steeped in moodiness and the occasional scream. Depicting his overall style as “a shadow you can’t shake”, Stone does a good job of describing his inescapable creative flair.

Delving deeper into the inspiration behind ‘For The Devil’, Caden explains: “It sings about the suffocation and hypocrisy of small town religion amid a wall of synths and guitars”. It’s meaningful and driven storytelling, making for a song that’s bound to resonate with a wide audience out there. What’s more, ‘For The Devil’ comes with a gloomy, cathartic music video, paving the way for Caden Stone’s three-dimensional artistry.
