Build For Tomorrow are adamant about what their latest single stands for. In fact, they appear to embrace a certain positivity: “our brand new track where we belong is catchy, fun and a summer bop, we hope u all agree…” We appreciate the confidence! And honestly, we do agree, ‘Where We Belong’ is a strikingly euphoric and uplifting pop-punk cut, one that feels nostalgic and rooted in the college punk tradition, but that also looks outwards, developing a timeless formula with modern features.
If any of you out there used to listen to Blink 182 or Sum 41, this record is probably for you. Fast-paced and intense, the record hits listeners in the face from the get-go, a hard-hitting and rebellious triumph of electric guitars and rolling drums that never lets the intensity fade. Crowning it all, we find malleable and slick vocals, the perfect match for such an impactful band. The single follows up on ‘Desire’, a track that showcased Build For Tomorrow’s alt-rock side.
