Brooke Moriber Celebrates Mother’s Day with ‘I Still Need You’

The latest single by New York-based celebrated songstress Brooke Moriber, ‘I Still Need You’ is a poignant, evocative effort, a lush and expansive country-pop ballad that still maintains an uplifting, catchy character. Released on Mother’s Day (May 6th), the single takes the form of a love letter from a daughter to her mother, celebrating the sometimes complicated, yet always rewarding connection between maternal love and independence.

Perhaps the listeners will relate to the conflict between wanting to pursue life alone and the need for parental approval. Well, Moriber goes into details on that very same theme, slowly dissection human consciousness and coming to the conclusion that… ‘I Still Need You’ – hence the title. Written together with acclaimed songwriters Jay Knowles and Alicia Witt, the piece is wonderful, packing the right amount of poignancy and intensity.

As always, Brooke Moriber’s stunning vocals are a gift from god, decisively clear, bold and charming, capturing the listeners’ attention from the first note. Speaking about the inspiration behind the song, the American songstress explains: “This song came straight from my heart. It’s for anyone who’s ever felt torn between needing their mom and needing to find themselves. I think so many people will connect to that internal tug-of-war.”
