Audren Returns with Fierce and Honest Cut ‘When Freedom Dies’

The keen reader will certainly remember London-based songstress and writer Audren. Featuring ‘The Good Road’ earlier this year, we proudly celebrated it as “inherently personal, vulnerable and honest”. Those are all values that are very meaningful to us. We believe true artistry stems from a deeply intimate place: after all, art is simply personal expression. Audren knows a lot about expressing herself, being a best-selling literary author and an inspired songwriter.

Her story is as hypnotic and hard-hitting as her music. Originally finding her feet in the music industry during her early years, Audren’s journey into the medium was then stopped by having to deal with Lyme Disease, an occurrence that has now been partly defeated. Yet, she had to learn her way around the limitations of such a debilitating diagnosis. ‘When Freedom Dies’ is a heartfelt and fierce answer to a challenging personal situation, all wrapped in uplifting and hypnotic soul and fusion goodness.

Audren’s vocals float freely over such an eclectic instrumental, delivering a tale of survival and keen intelligence. As the gifted artist explains: “Lyme disease has challenged me for years,” she shares.” I had to learn to trust my instincts to survive. We often receive false information on many health topics (and on many other subjects as well).”
